LORMAN, MS - After a back and forth battle that saw eight lead changes in the first half, the Southern University Jaguars could not fend off a pesky Alcorn State team as the Jags fall to the Braves, 76-64 Saturday evening at the David L. Whitney Complex.

Southern falls to (2-7 SWAC, 3-19) on the season.

The Jaguars led by as much as four points with three and half minutes left before intermission, but the Braves knocked down a three-pointer and sank two of their last three free throws to take a 36-34 lead into halftime. That was all Alcorn needed, the Braves did not surrender the lead to hold on to a 76-64 victory.
