BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - An express care clinic, the fourth one for Baton Rouge General, located steps away from Tiger Stadium in LSU’s Nicholson Gateway development is open.
Baton Rouge General (BRG) announced Tuesday the Express Care is open seven days a week and treats serious, but non-life threatening illnesses and injuries, including sprains, minor cuts and burns, allergic reactions, sinus infections, earaches and fever. The clinic also has a lab, X-ray machine and an EKG for more serious injuries.
The location will also includes a Hydration Therapy Lounge, which was recently added at the Highland Road clinic, near LSU’s south gates.
“Express Care is all about convenience and service,” BRG CEO Edgardo Tenreiro said. “No matter which of our four locations you visit, from the moment you schedule online or walk through the front door, we’re focused on getting you healthier as quickly as possible.”
It is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
The location was designed to elevate the patient experience, according to BRG. Patients are able check in at a digital kiosk, which has the ability to scan insurance cards. The clinic accepts walk-in as well as scheduled appointment.
BRG has express care clinics on Highland Village, Bluebonnet, and Dutchtown Express Care in Ascension Parish.
