ZACHARY, LA (WAFB) - UPDATE: Daisy Hardy has been found safe, according to Baton Rouge Police Spokesman Sgt. L’Jean McKneely. The Silver Alert has been canceled.
The Baton Rouge Police Department is searching for a missing woman who’s suffering from the early stages of dementia.
Daisy Hardy, 79, was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 in the Zachary area driving a white 2013 Cadillac CTS with license plate number XGK 123.
Hardy is described as a black woman with silver hair and brown eyes. She is about 5′ 6″ tall and weighs about 150 lbs. She was last seen wearing a red button-up blouse, black slacks, and a black beanie.
Family members say they brought Hardy to Lane Regional Medical Center for a doctor’s appointment when she became upset and left the area in her car. She’s believed to have early stages of dementia.
Anyone with information on Hardy’s whereabouts is asked to call BRPD at 225-389-2000 or call Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.
Louisiana State Police has also issued a Silver Alert for Hardy.
