Boil water advisory lifted for Clinton

Boil advisory in Clinton lifted

CLINTON, LA (WAFB) - A boil water advisory for the town of Clinton that was put in place on Friday, January 11 has been lifted.

Officials announced Wednesday that the advisory had ended.

The advisory was initiated because the city had been experiencing issues with its water system, including a leak at the parish jail on Haynes Street. The city said because of those issues, the water supply was of questionable microbiological quality.

This boil advisory came on the heels of weeks of issues surrounding Clinton’s water system.
