BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Visit Baton Rouge announced it has a new Director of Destination Services.
Baton Rouge native Courtney Taylor, who has been working for Visit Baton Rouge since May 2012 as the Destination Services Manager, was promoted to the position.
“My goal as Visit Baton Rouge’s Director of Destination Services is to continue to serve our clients and create a memorable experience while they are in our city,” Taylor said in a prepared statement. “I have a love and passion for Baton Rouge and I’ve really enjoyed showcasing all that our local attractions, restaurants and businesses have to offer our clients and visitors since 2012.”
Taylor will be tasked with overseeing the Destination Services Coordinator and all Visit Baton Rouge welcome center staff. She will serve as a liaison between the City Dock and Department of Public Works to schedule Riverboat visits, and coordinate site visits for potential clients as well as connect planners with our local vendors/partners and more.
She started working at Visit Baton Rouge after graduating with a Master of Business Administration at Southeastern Louisiana University.
Visit Baton Rouge is a tourist agency to increase awareness of the Baton Rouge area in order to boost economic impact.
